Hi Corporate Nanny,

This is great and helpful advice. I specifically agree with your comment about taking a momment and asking yourself "Is this candidate able to make contributions to my company beyond what I am expecting as the manager?” When we're recruting we often are so focused on making sure the candidate fits the job description, we don't stop and think about, "well how would this individual handle a situation that is not mentioned in the job descrition" or "based on their personality how will they handle different situations and work with others, etc..."It's definitley good to think about this when going through the recruting process that we often tend to forget in our scrabble and need to fill the position.
Thanks!
